Artist: Lea Lea

Release: Die Pretty
Label: Gothic Luau
Genre: Pop – Rock

Her name is Lea Lea and we’re excited to introduce you to ‘Die Pretty, Volume I’ the anticipated follow up to her self titled album.

“Die Pretty Volume 1” is an intersection of where Led Zeppelin meets Kelis, where Janis Joplin meets Santogold. Inspired by Lea Lea’s electrifying and critically acclaimed performances she wanted to mix things up for this EP; take things back to basics, get her band in a studio, crack open some tequila and record everything live. Produced again by the mighty Jack Baker (Bonobo, Alice Russell), they set out to create a raw sounding Psychedelic Rock Pop EP. Embellished with thunderous beats and bold vocals that climax into a Robert Palmer like wail and explosive rifts.

Artist: Dan Sartain
Release: Century Plaza
Label: One Little Indian Records
Genre: Alternative

Staring out from the cover with (non-artificially) blackened eye, paranoid android Dan Sartain goes back to the future for Century Plaza a new album of darkly nuanced electro-pop, released via One Little Indian on 19th February.

While Suicide and Alan Vega have long been acknowledged influences (a cover of Wipeout Beat features) Century Plaza finds Sartain trolling the British synth-pop wave of 80-84 particularly Depeche Mode – for inspiration, opening the record with a funereal remake of Walk Among the Cobras.

Artist: Kevin Devine
Release: Live At St Pancras Old Church
Label: Big Scary Monsters
Genre: Rock

In May 2015 Kevin Devine played three sold out shows at London’s beautiful St Pancras Old Church. Covering material from his extensive back catalogue, including old bands and side projects such as Bad Books (his band with members of Manchester Orchestra) and cult emo heroes Miracle Of 86, the shows at the 1500 year old church were incredible in sight and sound, with every moment thankfully recorded and now committed to vinyl.
