Bird of Prey is the title track and first single from Karma Kid’s forthcoming EP on Future Classic. Karma Kid – UK production whiz kid – rubs shoulders with and has gained support from Snakehips, Bondax Disclosure and Star Slinger and has had significant radio and online support. The project gained notoriety in the UK with ‘Like I’m On Fire’, which hit the Hype Machine heights and his breakthrough track ‘It’s Always’, which was Nick Grimshaw’s BBC Radio 1 Record of the Week and released on Bondax’s label Justus.
Desire Paths’ by very definition are the story of Technimatic’s Pete Rodgers and Andy Powell. They are the trails created by human endeavour and choices, the route travelled between origin and destination, the reason the duo’s enchanting debut solo album is ready to be released for the summer of 2014. Now fully fledged members of the Shogun Audio family, it has been Technimatic’s unprecedented determination and talent that has seen them carve their own desire paths up until this very moment. Delivering an LP of beautifully handcrafted, soulful drum & bass music you can’t help but wonder where their next journey will take them… ‘Desire Paths’
“The Touch” is the fifth single from Grum’s forthcoming album.
His previous singles “Everytime”, “The Theme”, “In Love” and “Tears” have been hammered across the board at BBC Radio 1. From Zane to Annie Mac, Pete Tong to B Traits, Monki to Danny Howard, the support for Grum’s original music has been incredible. If you add in his remixes for the likes of Shift K3y, Sigma, Chromeo & Martin Garrix he’s one of the most consistently played producer/remixers right now.
And it’s not just radio that love him. The DJ support on his recent work reads like a who’s who in club land: Solomun, Hot Since 82, Scuba, Sasha, Disclosure, Above & Beyond, DJ T, Bookashade, Axwell, Drums of Death, Slam, Russ Chimes, Tube & Berger, Huxley, Coyu, Joyce Muniz, Leftwing & Kody, Groove Armada, John Digweed, Mano Le Tough, Doctor Dru, Tensnake, Axwell, Digitalism, EDX, Mark Knight, Funk D’Void… the list goes on.
“The Touch” is arguably Grum’s deepest, houseiest release to date. But of couse, since this is Grum, we’re not talking about some po-faced, chin stroking dull-strumental, this is house music that will put a smile on your face, love in your heart and a warm glow on the dancefloor.
Remixes come from Sébastien Léger (tough, jacking house), Solaris Heights (Sasha style deepness) and Andre Sobota (killer modern progressive).
