Believe UK’s Lee Morrison cycled 244 miles across various UK cycling events this summer, including RideLondon 2015, London to Brighton Bike Ride 2015, and The Etape du Sussex Cyclosportive 2015. Pedalling his way around the country, Lee managed to raise an outstanding £3,222.95, which has gone towards his chosen charitable organisation, Last Night A DJ Saved My Life Foundation (LNADJ).

Lee Morrison said of the achievement, “I feel very proud to have raised so much for such a worthy cause and I would like to thank everyone that donated their hard earned cash, it certainly spurred me on in the final miles of RideLondon.”

The Brighton-based music foundation LNADJ will be donating proceeds to War Child UK, who strive to aid the children affected by war across the Middle East and Africa. The money Lee has raised will go directly to children in Jordan, to help provide them with support and education following conflict they may have been exposed to in Syria.

Jonny Lee, the founder of Last Night A DJ Saved My Life Foundation, said of Lee’s accomplishment, “All at LNADJ are very grateful for the massive personal, physical challenge Lee Morrison undertook. He leads by example to show others in the industry what a difference we can all make through supporting the Last Night A DJ Saved My Life Foundation and the many causes we support. Focusing this campaign on children in conflict zones is something that is very close to many people’s hearts and no doubt the £3,222.95 will positively effect many children’s lives.”

Frankie Stevens, Trust Fundraising Executive at War Child UK said “We intend to use Lee’s donation towards our ongoing work in Jordan, supporting refugee children and their families both in Zaatari Camp and among the host communities of Irbid. The programme focuses on running a number of Child Friendly Spaces and delivering our specialist DEALS methodology, which uses structured cycles of group based psychosocial support to help children manage the trauma they have experienced and continue their learning.”

Within Jordan and the Zaatari refugee camp, Lee’s efforts will contribute towards a range of resources for the children; this includes packs of winter clothing, books for the camp, back-to-school kits and the build of a sustainable child friendly space.
