Here at Believe, we offer a Trade Marketing service on all of our key releases. A dedicated Trade Marketing team ensures that our releases are presented to digital stores in the UK and around the World (where rights are applicable) a while before release. This ensures that all promotional opportunities that are available can be explored in order to secure the maximum exposure possible for our labels.

Here is an example of a recent success story from the Trade Marketing department.

‘Contact’ was the third studio album from the Noisettes, released on 27th August.  A household name in the UK, the band were highly involved in the 2012 celebrations that took place over the summer. Scheduled performances included The Diamond Jubilee Festival in Battersea Park, the BT River of Music festival and concerts during the Olympic Games.

Trade Marketing approach

Key retailers were sent the album press release and a private album pre- stream link in early July. This raised awareness very early on and allowed time for retailers to approach us with ideas to maximise promotion.

–          ‘Album of the Week’ features were requested in advance with relevant retailers.

–          The product was pitched to all retailers worldwide.

–          A version for Germany, Austria and Switzerland was created with a Friday release with Friday release date to ensure strong coverage.

–          Rdio pre-stream in Germany 26th – 31st August was secured.
